Naruto is so unbelievably childish its not even close to what is shown in DBZ. That being said, the fact that half of the episodes are fillers, filled with characters that no one will ever see again, using random "techniques" that will never come into play again, doesn't make it a quality show.
The characters in naruto aren't even fucking ninja's, they're wizards.
Think about it:
-They don't use stealth.
-The only way to "kill" someone is to fight them head-on, and rarely does anyone use poison or anything with a sharp edge.
-Half the time they fight with kunai for hand-to-hand combat. Who the fuck would use something so obviously not meant for that. Think about it, if you stab someone, its only going to go about halfway, and if you try and cut them, your basically using the head of an arrow. Kunai are meant to be poisoned and thrown. Hence the shape.
-They use "chakra" which by now is basically magic or mana. Not only does this chakra create SUMMONS and ELEMENTAL abilities, it rarely ever gets to the point in a fight that they run out of it. As if somehow they get infinite stamina, or if they were wizards, mana.
-Not only do giant beast with infinite mana walk around, people can tame them using "jutsu".
In short, naruto is for kids. The chances of someone actually dying in naruto are about as high as it is in Pokemon.
