Maybe you should stop with the whole render-on-background style.
Try something different.
I tried abstract and look what I got out of it.
Or didn't you say you were going to try photo manip?

I know exactly what I'm doing before I do it, and exactly what it's going to look like.
There are certain techniques for creating 3D orbs and other things, but it all comes down to your own creativity.

What you need to do:

1. Find a style you want to make a tag for, such as smudging.
2. Pull up 3-4 smudging tutorials.
3. Take elements from each to add to your own tag so it's still somewhat original, and you learn how to blend different techniques.
4. Repeat 1-3 with different style and tutorials.
5. Incorporate what you learn into tags you make in the future.
