If I don't have 5th slot and I buy an M249 (it's only 5th slot), do I get 5th slot? Because I know that you can't buy an M249 in-game if you don't have 5th slot

I think you have to purchase 5th slot first.
sort of like in CA how you need a specialist in order to use specialist weapons. If you don’t have specialist but buy a spec weapon, you just cant use it.

Like, you turn it on and just cycle through different weapons to use in the 5th slot.
