As mentioned either they patch it (legit new model & textures), or you try switching the textures (and model). Good luck with the latter, the game checks for consistency of any textures related to weapons, characters, vehicles and some other crap I can't recite right now (or so it was in the good old days). So you're more or less left with waiting for the official event.

It's a shame if this is for real, then G1 is really doing bad

I kinda liked WR before half the players were using publics...
