[Content]Content Update - 8/26!

Hello A.V.A players,

We are very excited to announce that on Wednesday 8/25/2010 from approximately 11:00 pm until 2:00 am on Thursday 8/26/2010 (PDT) We will be applying a new content update! This will require the A.V.A service to be down temporarily.

[AI - Annihilation] - Pyramid!

- This is a brand new mode coming to A.V.A! This mode is very similar to annihilation, except that it auto fills the room to capacity with AI controlled soldiers! Perfect for when you don't have time to wait for a full room, but feel like playing with a lot of enemies. As more human players join, less AI controlled soldiers will spawn. Boss mobs can also spawn in this mode, they are carrying rare & unique weapons that can be picked up! Be sure to try all the rare boss weapons.

Winning Conditions: 150, 200, 250.

New Goggle System!

Some changes have been made to the way goggles work. These changes are only applicable if you have goggles equipped. If you do not wish to see the indicators, you can un-equip your goggles.

If you hit an enemy in combat, you will see a brief flash of pink light over the enemies head, as displayed below.

If you kill an enemy, you will briefly see a skull pop up above your enemy, as displayed below.

Additionally, it also will show if you are on a kill-streak as displayed below.

Changes to the Grenade System

Currently, you can equip up to 3 grenades of the same type. After the patch on 8/26, you will only be able to equip 1 type of each grenade.

Typical Current Grenade Setup:

1. M67
2. M67
3. M67

New Grenade Setup:

1. M67
2. MK3A2
3. M18 Purple.
Changes to the Headshot Damage Modifier

Currently, a headshot does x3 damage. So if your shot hits for 20, a headshot would be 60 damage. After the patch on 8/26, headshots will do x4 damage.

Current System: Headshot damage x3. (Ex. 20 normal damage = 60 headshot damage)
New System: Headshot damage x4. (Ex. 20 normal damage =8 0 headshot damage)


These changes have already been made to the other versions of A.V.A. We are applying the changes now so we can all be on the same playing field when it comes to national tournaments. We feel that these changes will make A.V.A a more competitive game & will even the playing field for all competitors. We'd love to hear your feedback regarding these changes.

Other then that, I think that I will miss grenade stacking. I loved making those stackers whine saying that I hack(as to which I actually did hack on them once).

Knowingly, certain people are going to whine about te FR-F2 immediatly.

Muhahaha, now my headshots will do more shit to there heads!
