a+ certification
My school is trying to set up a class for it, and if they do, I am taking it.

In case you don't know what that is, it is basically the main thing you need to get a job in IT if you don't have a degree. a+ certification - Google Search
good luck?
"A student attempting the A+ Certification should have approximately 500 hours work experience with operating systems, computer hardware, system files, maintenance, networking, configuration of hardware and software, and troubleshooting computer problems."

Holy jesus.

Oh... Thats still "Wow"
A+ is the most useless certification ever. If anything, it could get you a job at Bestbuy.

Wtf is BestBuy?
It's in total, and thats not mandatory, thats just recommended, and if it was mandatory, I would already have it. I built my first computer by hand about two years ago, Have built 2 more since, and doing a third this weekend to practice networking.

@Czar: You can't get an IT job without it.

There are other more specific certifications that are considered much more useful.

The class is basically useless as well.
Networking is one of the smallest units in the A+ curriculum.
