Help with files

Okay, a while ago I set the normal start up program for a .rar file to start up using Notepad, but they don't work using notepad, and I don't know how to make them work now because they always try to start up using notepad instead of nothing like it was before. How do I fix this?

Reinstall.

O_O, why did you did that, do you have winrar or any other..., if you do please right click > properties > Open with: (click on change in here and add winrar or any other program u are using). If you don't have, please download winrar and try this.

WTF, don't you guys read?, he yous turned *.rar file to be opened to notepad and now all the *.rar files try to open with notepad, not with winrar. Or should he reinstall windows?

hmm try this
right click > open with > the chose one but dont click ok > if you have option on always open this kind of file using that > uncheck it > and than press ok
