They are stolen, so they should work most of the time, providing he doesn't give the same keys out more than a few times.

Basically.. they will only work on cracked servers.. basically you can get the keygens anywhere.. xD

If only two people have a cd key (namely you and the real owner), you should be able to play when the real owner doesn't, right? So they can be used on legit servers, but not all the time.
