hey guys i got VAC banned on mw2

and heared black ops also used VAC will i be abled to play it?

If you buy Black Ops and put the steam cd key on your MW2 banned account, no you will not be able to play. Just make a brand new steam account and pop your copy of Black Ops on that and youll be sweet (:

Why do people keep saying this?

They are two totally separate games, running on two separate engines. Engine bans only apply to Source games, and CoD runs on Quake engines.

If you are banned from MW2 you are banned from MW2 and nothing else. (Unless you get banned playing other games)

Nope, I'm pretty sure if your banned from MW2 you get banned on Black Ops. I saw a thread on steamforums that someone asked this exact question and a steam mod said what I said. And the Black Ops engine is more or less the same as the MW2 engine. Probably some minor additions but it is pretty much the same.

But his going to be more sure if he makes a new acc,same as i bought css.hacked then got banned.bought orange boy (hl2,tf2 and loads of other shit) and i was banned on them too.So better make a new acc

If you make a new account there is o% risk, but if you don't there is risk to still get banned from BO as well.

Again. Engine bans only apply to source games

BO is running off a modified version of W@W, which is nothing more than the Quake engine.

You can make a new account for it, but it will be fairly annoying to have to switch in between them every now and then to play different games.
