change the gun in Training from M24 to anything you want

if you can't read it, here it is explained typed out

Open your dat file in a hex editor
Search GUNS, once found...
Edit the following
Weapontype.........M24 to any other 3 character gun (example change m24 to ump
and edit this too
GUNS_M_HH\HH_M24****c to the same 3 character gun (so if you did UMP, change the M24 to UMP

done

i forgot to put how to make it any gun literally lol oh well my lil secret ^.^

i don't think it's difficult to make it for every weapon...i'll try..

you can't just make it a multicharacter like you think, it has to be 3 characters just like it is...you can't remove a 00 byte or anything to add it in somewhere else...i tried it

I got m32 in training...
But i tried to make m134 appear and it said that combat arms stopped working because engine.exe had an error :|
so it's better if you tell how to make it for every weapon

however could this have an application in real gameplay?

no since worlds is checked like attributes
