As you know, gold camouflage costs 50000 cp. I thought at that price we could get a little more variety, so I created this texture replacement pack. It includes red, orange, yellow, lime, grass green, spring green, cyan, royal blue, blueberry, violet,orchid and magenta textures for gold camo. Oh, wait, there is also rainbow-like one. Moreover, it's possible to combine different colors by mixing textures to get unique combinations! Instructions and additional screenshots in archive.

The way the gold shines in this game makes them a look a little dark. Its a good idea though as the gold in this game is bad.

Golden parts of weapon with this camo use camo_gold_c, camo_gold_env and camo_gold_spec in iw_01. As for metal ones - idk but 'd like to.

afaik the gold uses special files for its shine, meaning at best, you could have a pale yellow instead of a gold.

Ive since mastered the gold after mine and llamas thread.
I also have a much better understanding on how the files actually do their work. Like the environment files, and specular mapping.

some of your's and space llamas work had orange tinge..that didnt make it look like gold..but the others did...

you could easily tell the difference between mine and his. All of mine had the glossy dark shine to them, and his more more of a lighter un-refined gold look. Like right out of the ground kind of gold.

I bet you're wrong. This is not the first game I tried and did texture mods for, I also know enough about texturing and modelling because I work in 3DSMax, Revit, Archicad and Sketchup. Altering textures isn't a problem for me too as I also manage all popular raster and vector graphic programs in my work and study. So why do you think I don't know about "environment files and specular mapping"? I'm not native english-speaker, so sometimes I can't properly explain all my thoughts, that's why I didn't explain him about how shaders affect gold camo in Black Ops.
Edit: my poor english let me down. I guess you were talking about llama?
Edit2: Jeez, I finally understood where did the discussion start. So yep, I confirm that it's impossible to use gold camo instead of some of others

I believe it's time to create a special subforum for texture modifications like one in MW2 forum, because after that tutorial a lot of people started to create their mods.
