[Help]Creating a Hard Drive Image
Hey,

I wanted to create a Hard Drive image for a project i am working on. I will have a limit and be using to save the setting of this file which will be unlimited unless we use this. It will show Space free and space used and stuff. The current problem i am having is that I do not know how to do so. I will like some help.

Thanks

Use IMGBURN

Install Nero. In its working directory, you will find its activeX. Import it as reference and use its built-in functions to write ISO files. If that doesn't work, let me know...I'll try to write something for you !!

ISO are image Disks
I wanted something like VHD (Virtual Hard Drive) that Virtual PC uses. Can a ISO do that?

No, ISO's are static images of your data. You'll need something like RamDisk for this. You'll be able to use it via command line arguments. You can of course get the stream to get the status or something like that from command line and use in your application. There's a dll named msvcr100 with the package from the zip file downloaded from the following link:

Ramdisk Tools - Home

But, I don't know if you can make a reference to it. Give it a try.
i dont really have a reference. Virtual PC uses it to create Hard Drives Images which allows you to have Free space and also have used space. I was thinking of using a byte array but to add data to that array is where i do not know of. I will do more research on it but in the mean time i will just limit the file size
top blast install virtual box by sun it create your hdd and it saves to my documents
