3.55 Custom Firmware

Please Note this is not an Alternative to a Jailbroken PS3!

NEW FEATURES IN THIS FIRMWARE:
-Other OS capability
-Save data utility put back in
-Game data utility
-Enables you to install signed .PKG files

MYTHS:

MYTH #1: This gets rid of my saves and game data!!
This isn't true, it has save data utility and game data utility there in this new CFW download

MYTH #2: This will brick your PS3.
No This Will Not Brick Your PS3!

MYTH #3: Sony can find people with this and ban them.
No They Can't, it Runs Exactly The Same as official 3.55.

MYTH #4: You can't go online with this.

True! Anyway I can't wait till they can get an FTP Sever to Be Officially Signed as .PKG! Then I'll be running Modded Lobbies!

If you had a PS3 since it's release, There was a Feature which enabled you to Install another Operating System on the PS3! For Instance you could Install Windows Vista and Linux!

This Feature was Removed when the 3.0 Updates started to be released as it was by this means that the PS3 was First Hacked!

.PKG Files Were Originally Used For Homebrewed Applications, but as the Hacking Progressed people started to use the PKGs to install FTP Server's which Enabled People to Transfer Modified Patches onto there PS3!

This is Basically how the Challenge Lobbies for MW2 were Made!

I know this isn't the correct thread, but is there a Mac version for your Theme creator for the Background, Icons, etc.

I got a Macbook for Christmas and I really don't want to download it on my Desktop.

Xion, I installed this. And have been hosting Challenge lobbys, and all that stuff. But im scared. Whats the possibility that my PS3 will get bricked? or ruined? or can i get banned? thanks in advance,

you cant get banned and ur ps3 will NOT get bricked or ruined, all this does is install files on your ps3 and allows you to edit files from your ps3. like if you want to use Elite Mossy v9, you would get the patch and just copy it over while blackb0x is open. No worries! i host cl's with blackb0x.
