I wasn't talking about the syntax ffs.

Unless you are extremely dumb, learning a syntax takes no time. Rest is same for most of the languages.

pardon me but i didnt say C# can do more than vb. they are both the same, though ive never gotten around to being able to use pointers in vb ( ive done it in C# using unsafe code ), C# is just better if youre moving on to C++ because of the syntax

Again, I was talking about the functionality. Of course C# had an advantage over vb if you have to move to C++ in future!

Oh my God !!! Did you even read my previous posts ? I had 2 points in my posts. VB.NET and C# are the same (In terms of Functionality). If you want to move to C++ after VB, it won't take much time because learning a syntax is pretty easy. But, of course C# had similar syntax to C++ so had an advantage.

Easy? Always a matter of opinion, Some languages may be easier for one and harder for the other, give a devoted C++ VB code, and in the sense of the word, they may not understand it and it may be a "harder" language, not because it is or isn't but in a topic like this, it's perception, not reality.
