[HELP] urgent please help

Can anyone help me I just recently updated my Vista into Ultimate, and now my Combat Arms isn't working, saying that my graphics card doesn't support Directx 9.0c , and my computer was working fine before I updated to Ultimate. Can anyone give me step by step instructiong how to fix this? Without buying anything.

PS I already have Directx 9.0c installed

Hmm.. Did you re-install Combat Arms since updating?

yea i had to reinstall it after i updated the ultimaate

try turning on DEP
1.control panel
2.system maintence
3.system
4.click advanced system setting to the left
5.under advanced tab go to the first tab click on settings
6. go to data executable prevention
7.click the bubble that syas turn on DEP then at bottom press add and then add Combat arms from your desktop there then hit apply and then ok and should work thank me if it does...
