It seems that so many of the "Programmers/Developers" in MPGH are all either developing or learning to develop solely for game hacks & manipulation.
It is my opinion that as some of these "Programmers/Developers" mature they will lose interest in developing because games are no longer fun or some other reason.
So why did you become a developer?
Did someone inspire you? Was it because you want a future in development? or was it solely something you needed to do to make hacks and applications for hacking?

Well i was fooling around with my antivirus and thought to myself
"How do they Make this Shit" ( Google Helped me find out )
Then i found Mpgh and been addicted to programming ever since..
But mostly i like the idea of Programming. For example you can make a program that tells another to shutdown.. The possibilities are endless
I really have no idea. We did about a month of VB6 in school back when I was in year 9 (14 years old) and I loved it. However at the conclusion of the course, I didn't go near programming for another 3 years until early 2010 when I was bored one day and downloaded Visual Basic Express 2008. Had to brush out the cobwebs and learn .NET but I still found I really enjoyed it and have been doing it ever since. It also seemed like a good idea to learn for a future career (which has influenced my university choices this year) as everyone has a computer, so I might as well be the king.
Plus it's something good to do when I'm hungover and movement is painful
Ever since I was a little(r) one, I've been obsessed with computers, I'd usually be playing computer games, on the internets, ever since Windows ME.
When I was about 10 I read up on how computers work (machine code, etc), and I started playing around at school with .bat files, my first program simply displaying "alex" in CMD, later advancing to looped msgboxes with VBScript.
It wasn't until I was about 12 when I got into programming with Visual Basic, then I took classes, got bored with them, stopped programming altogether for about 5 months, then came back.
It's pretty much just a hobby of mine that I'm not so good at
Hmm, I actualy don't rememeber. Like Lolland when I was a little kid I used to love computers, playing on it, fixing them, building them. I remember my first OS was like Windows 2000 or Windows ME. Ever since I got my first computer I've been using them almost all the time.
I think I started playing with batch files and command prompt when I was 12 like creating handy scripts or some destructive stuff ot prank on people for fun. It wasn't until I found MPGH and found out about VB which gave me interest into programming since I was very intrigued of learning how people make programs or hacks.
Well, it started accidentally. When I was 13, I went to DVD shop for buying some movie. Can't remember which one. Came home, inserted it and instead of a movie it was a bunch of software. Fucker gave me a wrong DVD. -.- I started browsing and not a single software was known to me. So, I installed Macromedia Flash 5. Opened it and didn't understood anything. I clicked help from the menu and started reading it. From the very beginning I was very interested in animation because of sesame street. I started creating animations and soon realized that it had a language (didn't knew what a language is !). I went through every single line of Flash help and learned the language. It was one of the most fascinating things I ever found. I made couple of games too. My work with Action Script went really great. I google'd for more languages and found C and VB 6. Worked in both but got interested in VB6 because the results were instant and great. After that I worked in 3dsMax and VB.NET and am working on them to date. I think I should thank the man who gave me that DVD ;P
@ Hassan, yes you should thank him.
I got a C++ programming book for my birthday 8 years ago, looked at it a few times but didn't really do much with it. Then two years later(when I was 12) I gained interest again, found out I still had the book and started learning again. Stopped after a year, then a color aimbot named "Viral V4" appeared for Counter Strike: Source, I found a download on mafiacoders.net and the guy that uploaded it(Pro-Hax was his name) was also the creator, I couldn't be happier so I ended up inviting him on msn. We talked a bit and he told me it was written in C++, and z0mg, I had a C++ book o_O Thats when I started learning it more seriously. Ended up wanting to program games, so now im doing hobby shizzle, going to a game course in 2 years(1 year off of school to relax).
R.I.P. Mafiacoders.
Haven't seen Pro-Hax in a long time =3 I wonder if he's still alive o_O Imma see if I can find anything about him in the internet.
When I bought my first PC a Windows 98 I was 8 years old, and got interested on it. After some years when I was 10 I bought a new PC, and I got more interested on it, and also started to read and do advanced things on my PC. The year before I bought my new laptop and from a Facebook page (computer technology) I learned something about MS-DOS. I got interested and did some little things in MS-DOS. My cousin told me about the programing languages so I searched for C++ on google and found something. I started with C++ but I was really poor at it.. Then I downloaded Visual Basic, and started to do some basic things on it. Found it really great and I continued with it......In the summer I downloaded a lot of E-Books but never read a whole book. =( All what I know now about Visual Basic and C++ I learned form MPGH, Google and YouTube.
Now I'm learning D3D and I want a carrer in my future. Since my country isn't a active one in the programing way, I want to buil my own company like a Microsoft of Albania =P
It's just a dream, I hope that a day I will learn very good how to program =)
It's strange I was into programming for several years. In a robotics team for several more. Studied chaos theory, but programming never interested me like it does now. I would have to say it started with MPGH. Strange I know, but I used to love games. Still do, it's the fascination with otherworlds I guess. I would read story books for some time 5-7 hours straight. Played video games instead of doing my homework. I also loved creating things. When everyone else would be programming and testing the robots on our team I would be the one cutting the metal, screwing the wheels in, attaching the drive chain. I did not become seriously interested in programming until hackers invaded my games. It started with WarRock and that was annoying, but it got worse with CA. I kinda hated MPGH. then I got into glitching for a bit. I suppose that's when I started testing the boundries of the worlds I like to spend so much time in. Then I started glitching more then I would play the game. I didn't care about kdr or anything, I was really bored an in a bit of a depression. Eventually I decided to download a hack, and it was pretty fun. But I wasn't satisfied with using it. I wanted to figure out how it works. So to say that I didn't start on the track to becoming a developer because I wanted to hack some game is a lie, because I did. I'm still not even sure what I want to do from here, but I know I love doing this. And love coding in general. Even if there was no money in it and I had to work at this freaking fast-food restaurant for the rest of my life I would still do this.

Amen. A tear came to my eye reading the last sentence.
And now a blast from the past!

Lol. Lost my TM, because of a couple incidences like that, but I prbly wasn't cut out for it anyway. NextGen1 does a much better job, then I ever could. xD

Lol wat ? You guys got trolled by me big time.
Nextgen1 is my alter account lulz !
@ hassan...... HA
@ Why, you were a great mod, and most of your bans in the programming section came by my request (for vb section, cause you let me run it as if I was mod) so you can't be blamed for some of those bans.
