I made a web chat....it should work just fine....000hosting whatever doesn't seem to support ajax though, anyone know of some great magical hosting that should or does? I'm slowing making my own site but I don't want to get the paid hosting & domain till its already up & going with no issues....

(tectonically its a different question then the other guy asking about hosting.)

Use Somee, Supports PHP, ASP,ASP.net AJAX v1.0, 3.5,Silverlight MS Access 2003, 2007,HTML, they offer decent free hosting.

somee .com? I did a google search it was talking about hosting I clicked it and it says the page can't be found, there sites down...how reliable does that sound? lol

Somee as far as I can tell is very reliable, and if I count for anything the accredited. I tested some of my test accounts I use for testing .net 4.0 web apps and it seems their host servers are still up, just the site is down for some reason.

however, the choice is yours.

@ Your website, Suggestions don't seem to work site locks up and seems not to send. Also, may want to rethink how you are doing this , it won't take long before you are bombarded with spam, You should use open suggestions, CMS like (famous blog software) , cloudflare (free) and some type of approvals, going to be even more work if you have to filter though thousands of mail, and it doesn't take long for that to happen.

Okay well Im gonna wait till there sites back up.

The suggestions site thing I Plan to read them daily if theres anything there then I'm just gonna write them down if I care for it and reset it all, I am currently working on my own blog where I will post questions and who wants to suggest something can comment but there will be one of the google cache there, I might add one to the suggestion box...

And it takes about 5 seconds for it to submit & then you have to refresh, I know - bumer..

AJAX is used by a client-sided script. If a web host supports HTML, it supports AJAX requests. Because HTML is stateless, the server does not know whether a request is from a web browser, AJAX request or some other program (other than server variables like referrer, IP and user agent).

@ Freedom, yes client side, and Ajax has server side frameworks as well, like almost all web scripts.

@ Issue in general, alot of free hosts attempt to send ads and sending the ads
with the ajax response tends to mess things up, alot.

So ad free solution is your best bet.

Yes, but these frameworks are not AJAX itself, which means no web hosts exists that "doesn't ... support ajax".

If at all, it does not support the framework, which is completely independent of AJAX. The framework may be in PHP, ASP, Perl (and so on), so any problems is because of the AJAX framework, not AJAX (XHR) itself.

Just some clarity for future readers who search and find this post will not be confused.

Sidenote, if you're just creating a test or development site in preparation for production, who cares about ads? And why not use a local development server, like Windows Server or some AMP package for Windows like XAMPP or WAMPServer?
