use numlock and if i remember correctly the keys r as folows:
LETTER KEYS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF KEYBOARD, idk exactly which ones, but U NEED NUMLOCK ON
EDIT: i realize u have a laptop, i said THE LETTER KEYS, i use this on EVERY laptop i have EVER used!

don't you have "Fn" which is a second function key, once you hold that in press j=1 k= 2 l=3 u=4 i=5 o-6 8=8 9=9 or look at the tiny writing on each of these keys
