Photoshop (cs5 not working for me, best is cs2)
.dds plugin
converters

Go to your game folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty black ops\main
open iw_14.iwd with winrar
think about what gun u want to modify
for example we take the m16
in winrar press F3 and search for *M16* (some guns are located in iw_13.iwd)
we found this file: ~~-gt5_weapon_m16a1_sc-rgb&~-~ffb1fb09.iwi
covert it to .dds (http://www.mpgh.net/forum/368-call-d...-official.html)
__-gt5_weapon_m16a1_sc-rgb&_-_ffb1fb09.dds
open it in photoshop
and open the tutorial.jpg from the attachment in photoshop

convert back to .iwi and use the IWIFixerBlackOps by SuperNovaAO to fix the file

place your new fixxed .iwi in iw_26.iwd or localized_English_modded_iw_11.iwd (try wich one works in ur case)inside the "images" folder
place the one u used in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty black ops\main
and check ur textures ingame
!!!for some it works online and for some only works in private match
