Thats true that mostly works. Say you need it for school. take some programmng classes at school. say you need it to make videos online that you are intestered in doing when you grow up.

Just get a laptop instead of a desktop, because I'm pretty sure that your dad will choose one for you that sucks ass. And most laptops today are decent, just get one with 2.5GHz+

If you are going to buy a new computer i suggest you built it and not buy a whole computer. because builting cost about 200$ less on average and that 200$ can go towards a very nice graphics card or Cpu.
