Steam automatically distributes updates. So if you bought the game, it will update automatically

If you are using alter, make sure (if you are not using a steam version) to download the MPRip from their site, and use that. Also make sure to install everything properly.

I see you posted in the MW2 section, and Convery will probably give you a definite answer before long. People are not going to answer the second you post it.
