HALP
I accidentally clicked a virus link in MSN. The convo was as follows:
Friend: "Hey!"
Me: "Hey, wats up?"
Friend: "I just took an IQ test and got 128!"
Me: "Oh cool"
Friend: "Go to this link: adfasdfadfsfa.com and try it yourself!"
Me: "Cool virus"

Then while copying the text MSN decided to open the link in firefox. IT was only open for a second, i closed the page instantly. Running virus scans atm, should i do anything else? I fear it mighta been a phisher.
For one thing you should fix the MSN spreader problem.

Just changed my MSN password
That kind of virus don't do anything to your PC.
They only annoy people every 5 mins.
It's probably just a phisher, I doubt you really downloaded anything (if you really closed it that fast).
But, it's better to be safe than to be sorry. I'd go ahead and scan for all that shit. Then, try to do a system restore if you're REALLY paranoid.
i highly doubt you were infected.
I don't think i was either but i'm paranoid..
Also i thought the MSN phisher pages got blocked by MSN

true, i just don't see how the webpage can steal your MSN info. I get if it asks you to login with your MSN stuff but just visiting the site shouldnt put me at risk, should it?

well it depends. everything is tricky nowadays. i say run a scan with malwarebytes and call it good.
Use an anti-virus that detects this kinda've shit?
