Piracy
What is MPGH's thoughts on piracy? Can you justify it? Are you ashamed? Keep in mind that over the years, games have been watered down and becoming bland and bad to play, which has been blamed on piracy, even though the numbers wouldnt say so. Developers use piracy as an excuse for not wanting to release on PC, even though they just dont want to do work. So in a way, Piracy is killing gaming, even though its not doing it directly.
This is not a thread to share your piracy sites, or files, just discussing the idea of piracy, primarily in games.
Personally, the only reason I do it, is because I dont trust developers. I want to play the game before I spend $60 for an un-refundable hunk of crap. Portal 2 is a good example. I had good expectations, but when I played it and found out it was dumbed down and story-centralized, I didnt want to waste any money on it except to play CO-OP, which after I found out that there isnt too many players on PC, made it pretty much out of the question. A friend has it on the 360, and thats all I need.
