I am planning on doing a lets play, or podcast ( same thing ) this week. I have some things planned out, but I need some more ideas on what I should do

Depends on how good you are at Minecraft, and what specialties you have. Most successful lets plays are someone that starts a new world and shows everything they do to get their awesome base.

But think most lets plays do it the other way, I guess people want to watch others punching trees xD
To make a lets play consider;
- Good quality microphone
- At least 16/deeper voice (no one likes lets plays with high pitched children)
- Runs Minecraft with no lag while recording
- Knows a lot about Minecraft trivia to keep the audience interested
- Confident speaker
- Capable of writing a good script

Yep, cover most of that, I am not thinking about writing a script, but I want to write ideas down and talk about them as I go. I will probably make it tomorrow.

Sorry, in that video I am not enthusiastic, but during my podcast/lets play I will be, and I sound weird because I was using a shitty mic and I was sick.
EDIT: Anyway, I set up the Minecraft world I am going to use for tomorrow. I will also figure out how to upload to iTunes, which should be fairly easy. Going to upload to Youtube as well. Any other suggestions gladly appreciated.

Fraps, never had problems with it. I am not planning on doing too much editing, so I will probably use Windows Movie Maker to render

Weird, last time I rendered a video using WMM it was okay quality at 480p. But if you insist I will use Sony Vegas 10. It will take longer to render thoughYou have a good voice for recording.

Thats so very nice of you to sayId be down for some lets plays. I have a more stable connection and can actually stay in games, still cant do any uploads of actual videos though.
I finished mine and its almost done uploading. @Heartview for the next episode we can do a lets play on a server I can make
