OK so ive been trying this out for a while now and it seems to work ok if your account is on silver membership and u want to play (BLACK OPS only)then here's how you do it:
1.Play a full 10 minute game of split screen just run about (has to be 10 minutes)
2.Leave local lobby click xbox live but not player match click combat training
3.swith lobbys to player match using the switch lobbys button
4.Now have fun ranking up in silver membership
