Can this even be called smudging?!

Another shit:

I smudged the robot too because I was aiming for an effect as he was falling in some kind of a hole (as you can see all the smudging is rotating around the robot, and finally buliding a circle behind the render giving the effect/illusion I wanted, even the hands position is almost exactly as I wanted) .

It's not bad smudging it's just te colors are shit
And the hole thing didn't really work with the position that you had.
You have to make that robot blend and not just smudge add more to it some other effects
Just cause it's not like "Eth's awesome smudging" doesn't mean it's not good or that it's not done right

I totally agrre with Keroaplt.

For that type of effect I would suggest showing the feet of the render. Right now my mind just automatically assumes that he is standing on something.

It looks good, but it doesn't at the same time.
You kinda had the right idea, but none of the colors blend with the render.
That's the only thing that really bugs me.

Its cool, but you should change the colours, too colourful.

hmm, this is pretty good for you.
colors are shit, as kero said.
another thing is, you smudge in fast strokes(i can tell)
you should smudge it slow, so it looks more "solid" (as eth said in another post)
