Any ideas on how I can get my mom to let me spend the night at a friend's?
(I don't live with her, but I'm spending this weekend with her and I want to spend friday night and come back in the morning at like 10-11AM

Well, it depends if the friend you're going to is "good" or is bad (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs...), if he's good just convince her you won't do anything stupid and that you have to get an experience like that, which helps you to progress, etc.
If she knows that he is a scumbag, then you've pretty much can't.
