Updating your client [Aiw2]

Well there are still some guys who don't know about the newest aIW release, so I'll explain this to those guys.

The AIW team, released their newest client version, which contains 2 new maps. This client is separated from the original one. Actually this new client is still on a "pre-release" aka "demo" stage, so it might throw up some bugs while in-game. But I'm pretty sure that this will be fixed really soon.

You can't access the Private Match via the menu, but if you want to play on a private match then open the console and type in:

devmap Oilrig
or
devmap Gulag

Installation:

-|Checking
First of all go to your aIW folder and check if there's a file called "aIW2.exe". If so then, skip to the other part, ("Downloading the maps") otherwise open your iw4mp.cfg and copy and paste the following code then save:

enable_updates	1
enable_upload	1
cache_server	http://alteriw.net/content/
caches		aiw-client;aiw-content;aiw-dlc1;aiw-dlc2

If the uploads were disabled then delete the file "caches.xml" and the folder "boostrap", and run iw4mp.exe, then let it update. After the update you might see the new launcher. (AKA "aIW2.exe")

-|Downloading the maps
Go to the following urls to download the maps:
http:// alteriw .net/ getOilrig.php (Remove the spaces)
http:// alteriw .net/ getGulag.php (Remove the spaces)

After you downloaded the maps place them to your "zone\english\" folder.

-|Let's play aIW2
Now run the new launcher and let it update.
NOTE: To change your name press the "\" (well on my keyboard is "\", but it's the button up to "TAB") and type

No. All the addresses have been changed.

you know the Xiud leek from the x3m (Or what it was..)

And they said it would be much hacks and so from that site because they got the file from thr AIW.

Is that why they changed the adresses?

yea well, no. I think that NTA wanted to include his own maps on mw2 since a while. It was on his sig. at the aIW forums.
