UDK Links, FAQ, Getting Started
Hello,
Since I love Unreal Software Developing Kit I wanted to share a tutorial which contains everything needed to run and getting started with UDK.

Pre-Requirements:
Unreal SDK - Unreal Technology (1.32GB Of Goodness)
(Optional) DirectX 9.0c - Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (if you haven't installed DirectX on your PC, udk will do it for you that's why it's optional)
A Brain - Sorry No Download Link For This One

FAQ:
|-General FAQ

Q: I can't run UDK, what to do?
A: Make sure that you haven't a old shit computer otherwise it won't work. (Also make sure you got DirectX <- Everything can happen)

Q: My UDK Crashes every time that I open it/after a while, what to do?
A: UDK requires a large memory to run, if you are running other softwares please close them.

Q: I need more static meshes/textures/etc for my game, where to download?
A: Check the links below.

|-Developing FAQ
Q: When I start the game it says: "Lighting/Paths/etc needs to be rebuild", what to do?
A: After you add entities to your game their lighting effects must be builded, and if you add a terrain too, the paths should be build.
To do so go to:
Build->Build All (It will take a little to build the paths and/or the lighting).

Q: What are static meshes?
A: There you are bitch: Static mesh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Q: What's wrong with the game if I don't build the lights?
A: The shadows of the entities aren't going to appear and the entity itself will show totally black while in-game.

Q: I need help with the scripting part, what can I do, I don't understand a shit about that part?
A: There you are: External UDK tutorials - Unreal Wiki

That kind of error appears when a part of the application like a DLL or something was modified or it is not like the original one. The best way to fix it (no the only way to fix it) is to uninstall UDK and then clear your registry. Then install it back again. @ogkush317
@user590177 Thanks for the reply, did what you said, uninstalled everything to do with UDK, and cleared the registry, but yet

I checked specs again and i pass all of em, runnin on Win 7 64x. still not working , guess im stuck with unity
Try to redownload DirectX, and Visual C++ Redistributable 2008
did last night and still having same issues, man, im so lost lol but ty for trying to help bro
this is too complicated im gonna stick to source sdk lol
Nope, this is easy, and more powerful than compiling your own code w/o a large knowledge.
