What's wrong to you guys? If you say SA:MP is better than MTA, you're lying. Funny thing is: No-one here seems to know the word 'arguments'. If one of them is better, give your reasons. Without reasons, no opinion.
Personally, I like MTA way way more. Reasons:
- MTA is creating infinity. It has so much possibilities, you can hardly think about something which is not possible in MTA.
- Clientside scripts: That's why MTA's sync is so good. The server only does stuff which just NEEDS to be synced, the client does the rest.
- Stuff usable for other parties; like the Ingame Handling Editor I'm developing, allows users to import and export handling.cfg (so singleplayer) lines too.
- Objects, players, vehicles, markers and whatever are elements. Makes it easier to script between them.
- LUA, which is a language I like the most of any language I know. Yes, ofcourse this depends on the user, but I just love the flexibleness of LUA <3
- So much more :P
All I hear from SA:MP users is that "MTA sucks" or "shittier servers, fuck mta gtfo outa this section". That are no reasons, that's just raging because you can't handle the truth.
Luckily I've heard a few SA:MP users why they prefer SA:MP over MTA. Here's a list of reasons they gave:
- It has a nicer chatbox. - Oh, I have to agree with that partially. The scrollbar of SA:MP looks ugly, just as the textinput is, but indeed, I like the text itself more than MTA's one. Now, I'm gonna tell you something funny. MTA has DirectX functions, allowing to draw images and even change their color. So, scripting a new chatbox in MTA? No problem.
- SA:MP has more players. - That's a fact. You want to know why? Because of the namechoose. Google for San Andreas Multiplayer, and you will get SA:MP ofcourse. Reason why SA:MP keeps having more players? Because of this argument. If everyone moves, MTA has more players, so this argument is invalid.
- I don't need so much functions, SA:MP has enough imo. - Are you dumb? You dont HAVE to use the functions MTA has -_-
Please tell me if you have some arguments why SA:MP could be better. I'm able to reject them.
By the way, 90% of the SA:MP server uses the Map Editor of MTA. Not really fair to say MTA sux then, because SA:MP isn't capable to have a better one. Don't use the Map Editor if you think it sucks...
