Welp , my PS3 Got YLOD .

Well , as the title says , my PS3 got the YLOD recently and this has been the second time . I would like to know some of your guys success with hair-dryer trick or the heat gun fix . ( If you or if you know someone who has done it ) . The reason why im asking, because I dont know if I would pay $150 again since this is my 2nd time getting this .

Nope , I havent tried yet, I wanna learn what people's experience with these fixes if they had YLOD and tried it.

Why don't you sell that PS3, and buy a PS3 slim? I got my PS3 Slim from ebay for only $100 with a 120 GB hard drive. Works fine and it is refurbished. But remember to back up your data if you want to continue campaigns.

I haven't really experienced YLOD, but try this.
1. Eject the disc and turn off the system
2. While pressing the eject button, plug out the power cord(slim) or turn the switch OFF(fat)
3. Put back your power cord or turn the switch to ON WHILE pressing the eject button.
4. Just wait till you hear a fan turning on, and just wait, it will automatically stop after a couple of seconds.

***People say that this is unsafe for your PS3, but then you have to think, why would Sony try to mess up our own systems. Do not try to clean your PS3 with a vacuum, as such small materials will eventually be lost and result in YLOD***
