Crossfire Problem

hi so yea i recently got a new mouse hadnt played cf for awhile and the last i had played i was trying to use this hack. and it was a hack where u put it in the crossfire folder and ever since that time i cant play crossfire i load it up but then i get a message from xtrap saying something (im redownloading crossfire seeing if it works so i dont remember exactly what it said) something about a folder but i deleted the hack and everything :/ any ideas and im redownloading cf but if that doesnt work im just wondering if theres anything else i should be doing
