What is files.nfo2 and where is it created?
I dont know i've searched through the vindictus files and found nothing
does vindictus run without you trying to inject anything, or does it try to update that file all the time no matter what?
All The Time No matter what
huh...well...hate to put it out there but you may just want to consider reinstall vindictus. Hope someone out there has an easier fix though. >_<
D: already did and it reupdated it

started the "update" loop again or started to work again? Sorry, kind of a stupid question, just not sure if it got fixed or not.
the update loop
After much fun researching (idk maybe 5 minutes worth) I've come up with two ideas...
you can:
1. try turning off your antivirus, then patching (some reports are that the AV is causing the patch to fail for w/e reason)
2. delete the data in CurrentInfo.txt (open it, press ctrl + a, press delete, close it and save on close.) Please don't delete the CurrentInfo.txt file because I don't know what this will do, deleting the internal data should simply cause it to patch.

May want/need to attempt both at the same time, shut down AV, remove data from the txt file, attempt running.

Try turning off your Anti virus first though...Good luck

Didnt work but after it updates and loops again it keeps making files called "nmcosrv"
You said you could make a video of it, maybe you should so we can see it happen.
From what I know nmcosrv is a "report" file created when something like an update failure happens.
Sorry it took so long..
here it is

Two ideas, try logging in with an administrator account (actual admin account, not just running as admin) and if needed, disable Windows UAC.

Second, and this is increasingly a rare problem, try installing somewhere other than program files.

Create something like a C:\Games\ directory and install your games there. Certain games(or apps) and windows combinations prevent writes to the program files directories.

---

Option 3, when you reinstalled, did you uninstall, then verify that the directory was wiped out and no longer there. The nfo2 file appears to be a temp patch file, and if it is created, it could be a hidden file, so if your directory isn't wiped out during uninstall, it could still be there and locked in some way, thus preventing further updates.
