New GPU & PSU
Hi,

Before i give my specs, i want you to know a few things:

I recently upgraded my CPU.
I recently upgraded my RAM.
I past upgraded my GPU.

Ok, so my specs now, are:

Intel Q6600 2.4ghz (Quad)
4GB DDR2 RAM [800mhz (i think)]
Nvidia geforce 9500gt
305 W Dell PSU.

My specs i had before:

Intel Core 2 duo 1.8 Ghz (dual core)
2gb ram
ATI Radeon x1300/x1500 series
305 W dell psu.

I basicly upgraded everything. But my gpu is getting shittier with the upcoming games. I want to buy a Nvidia GTX 560. (200 euros).
I need some suggestions if it's a good idea to get it or is it too powerfull?

I also need some help how much watt i should get for a psu. (i thought about 800w)

If anyone cares, my pc is bought in 2006 from Dell, the system's name is Dell Dimension E520.

Thanks for any suggestions, Apple.
All you would need to run a system like that is a 600w-650w. I think you will be fine with the 560 but I would go with the 570 to be honest. Hope this helped

Hi, thanks for your reply!

I thought about the 570, but theres 50 euro price difference between the 560 and the 570 so i will stay with the 560. And about the PSU, thanks, i will get a 600W psu in the next month.

Thanks again for you reply, Apple.
Don't get either, you'll just run into a bottleneck at one point. Imo you're better off with something like the 5770 + a 600W cpu should be more than enough

Whats the point of getting an ATI if i have the money for a GTX 560?
Another thing, even if i get the 5770, than even 300W is enough. I want something powerful, i have a Quad 2.4 ghz, 4GB ram, now i need a good vid card and i'm set to go for another 2 years.

Sorry to break it to you, but your CPU, ram and mobo are trash. Buying a really good gfx card will just result in a bottleneck

If you want decent performance/price go with the 6850 or something, not with the 560
