What does the word "Nigger" Mean to you?

I was talking to a friend in school when we overheard a person discussing the word ******. He said that he loves black people, but hates ******s, which kind of confused me. He then went on to say that ******s are obnoxious black people, which started a whole argument that never seemed to end on what the word "******" means. So I just wanted to know what the word means to everyone. /Discuss

I agree, I don't even think it affects black people as much as it used to.

If I don't like you or an object, you or an object might get called a ******. Doesn't matter if you're white brown purple or indigo. You don't even have to be an animate object.

For me, it's just a general insult. Yeah, I'm white, but I'm Polish, and none of my family tree has ever owned any slaves, and even if they did that still doesn't have anything to do with me.

I'm reminded of a bar fight i got dragged into one night. I was drinking with a buddy of mine. An older guy, %1er biker type. And he spilled his beer, and said, "Fucking ******!"

So, I assume the 3 dudes that started shit with him assumed that they where the glass the friend of mine had cursed at (even thought his back was turned to them when it was said). Long story short, they thought it was 3 on 1, but they hadn't noticed me, or the friends I was with I guess. It didn't turn out good for them.

Personally I don't see what gave them the right to act so offended. Maybe if one of their ancestors was a slave, and one of mine was a slave owner, but even then... they wouldn't be in this great country if not for the shady past... lol.

It's just a word, until dumb asses try to fight and argue over it.

Forrest's definition is good for internet use. That's it. In real life, you don't say it. At all. There's a different definition on either side, online and offline. Offline it's racist upon use. Hence why the word nigga was created. Anyone can say nigga. Anyone. Nigga = dude. Nig is the same. Once "er" comes in it's a totally different word.

Exactly. ****** is just as bad as calling anybody anything, it's not meant to be personal, I call people like my friends and shit ******s depending on what there doing, it's all just laughs, could care less about the meaning as long as it's used logically.
