Question about pre-ordering

Question about pre-ordering
So I want to pre-order Battlefield 3. The thing is, it comes out on October 25, which is a school day for me. So if I pre-order it, would I be able to oil it up on another day? Or do I HAVE to pick it up on the exact date? I have never done this so I am sort of new to this. Please help me out. Thanks.

tl;dr give me more info about pre-ordering since I'm a newbie at it. Can you get it on a different date? Etc.

pre-order just means your guarenteed a copy on that date, meaning you can pick it later,

im almost sure.

Would 5 days be acceptable? Because I have school and a job so I wouldn't be able to get it until Saturday when I have my day off.

Sorry about that. I accidentally posted in the Xbox 360 section without even knowing it. I'm on my phone so give me a break.

Ok so it wouldn't be a problem if I pre-ordered it right? I'm just waiting for someone to give me a straight forward answer.
