So I'm tired of being broke so I decided to farm a maelstrom scroll, according to the db which isn't that reliable it drops from Blood Prince on Hero, been farming for days and days with no luck now it might very well drop from this stage and I'm just having shit luck but does anyone know if it really drops from here and if not where might I be able to farm for one? Any input will be appreciated

Just a thought! Farm for the less expensive scrolls and sell a lot of them. I have made over 500k with the Resilient and Agony Scrolls. I have made over 3 mil from Drops that people are desperate for and I sell. Also I just got the Fur Jacket from Windgun Boss and made 125k. About 30 runs to get the drop.

Maelstrom has the lowest drop rate of all the scrolls that are out right now.
It drops from Blood Prince Hero, and Patrolling the Depths Hero (These 2 have been confirmed atleast). I wouldn't farm for Maelstrom if you are just looking for cash.

Farm Yeti King on Hero mode instead. This dungeon drops 4, yes 4 R9 scrolls which are Hateful, Intense, Adjusted, and Relentless. These all go for a good 20m+ and has a few 0.*% higher droprate than Maelstrom. But the point here is, that the chance of getting one of these is alot higher than farming for a single scroll.

Maelstrom is a scroll only if you want the best of the best on your weapons, show off to the rest of the world, and not really for farming money since it is so extremely rare. I, myself, have only found one Maelstrom out of like 700 runs of Blood Prince, but anyone could be lucky and get it on their 3rd run.
Gotta love that RNG system.




If you're after easy, but small amounts of cash; farm Chiulin (What the dead leave behind). He drops Red Armor Fragments, and Long Belts quite frequently.

Maelstrom also drops in Ruins of Sanctity.
It is not something you want to farm to make gold. The drop rate is too low.

If gold is what you're aiming for, you can farm highly demanded things like superior/exquisite iron ores, gear mats, and enchancement stones. Enchant srolls like valor, bloodlust or other r9 enchants mentioned by Ethorion are other options as well.

1000+ runs really isn't a fair number is judge whether this thing drops from a place or not. I've done 3000+ runs before I got a Hateful scroll from HHIF, and the drop rate of Maelstrom is even lower than Hateful.

There are quite a few people on Nexon forum confirming Maelstrom drops in Ruins. Some of them are pretty active users on the forums, I doubt they would lie for something like this.

Then again, Maelstrom isn't' worth farming to make gold, so I guess whether it exists in Ruins or not doesn't really matter in this thread.
