Simply put, how do they do it?
Hello guys, Im brand new to MPGH (first post ) and I was hoping someone could help me. I know the basics of Java, and a little bit on some others, but I dont know how people make hacks.

I was hoping someone could give me like a quick list of all the steps or something, becuase I have hopes of actually making HARDxSTYLExHACKZx a popular name here when I release my creations.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on a specific language for making hacks, any books I should look into, or any knowledge that would benefit me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I recommend C++

Read C++ Books
Be good at the language
Learn some WinAPI
be good at some WinAPI
Read D3D(9,Which version does the game use put here) books/tutorials
practice a lot
Try a hack

It's obviously a Long road. You won't be making any hacks soon. But if you think of it this way, if you start now and are consistent and dedicated, you will get it done and stop just wanting eventually

I also recommend to now rely on people's recommendations for books/tuts.
I think it's better if you find what works for you by yourself.
I got a book on C++ a long time ago, it had good reviews, but after halfway, the explanations got pretty bad. I made up for it with another book, but you won't want something like that happening.
What type of game are you going to make ?

You mean trying to hack*

Also, look into ASM. Knowing Assembly code most likely will make things easier for you in the long run (because god knows learning it isn't easy.)
A good book for the basics of C++ is: C++ Primer Plus 5th Edition by Apress

Even if you see one called "C++ Primer" don't get it, the plus version of the book covers basics, the "Primer" version covers some more advanced topics.

After you've read this book twice, and done all the examples, challenges, and you feel confident in your coding abilities look around for some other books that cover more advanced and specialized topics.
C++ For Most FPS Games And Java For Like Run Scape And MineCraft Good Luck
