crossfire startup
ok, i've officially tried everything i know. When i start up crossfire you get g4_box. after you press start game, you see the Xtrap loader/downloader apere for about 2 seconds, then it closes, and nothing happens. it won't execute the actual game.

Ok, i've tried common solutions.
Reinstall.
Tested EVERY compatible mode. [i.e. XP service pack 1&2&3, vista, 7, 2000]
turned on and off data execution prevention.
I even opened all files and made sure everything in them was correct.

any info? i'll let you T.V. me if requested.
Close your AV and Firewall?
done that too, added it in acceptions for everything.
Did you ever run any hacks on crossfire?
If so, look for a file called sxs.dll in your crossfire folder(C:\Program Files\Z8Games\Crossfire) and delete it.
it's a fresh install, i've deleted everything.

When you uninstall, there are some 'remains' of the CF Z8Game folder still intrigued into your C:\Program Files.
makes no sense, make sure you got EVERYTHING, even your computers temp files (found at %temp%)
yes, i know this. i control panel uninstalled, manualy deleted everything. ran a "junk file cleaner" that looks for un-used files and deletes them, rebooted, then reinstalled. trustmebro, i've tried everything.

although i did find something unusual i've never seen before, in the Xtrap folder, theres a DLL named "sux.dll" is this a needed file?

Checked my cf folder, I don't got that dll at all.
Back up the dll, delete it in the crossfire folder.
I'm guesiing you got an IP ban, what else could it be?

@alexpoo
its not ip ban iv had this problem be4 what solved it for me was i deleted everything an saved the game to a different directory in C:\ cuz i downloaded vindictus at some point i put it in the nexon folder try making a new folder an saving the game there outside of program files and if ur win 7 dont put it in program 87 or wat ev its called
i deleted sux.dll file, not sure if it worked yet, haven't tried, but im positive it's no IP ban, otherwise it would boot up, then when i logged in it would say "you've been banned for 0 days 0 hours 0 minutes/IPban" plus i wouldn't be able to log on in the website if it was a IP ban...
id unno, go with hero said, im done for thread, thats all my help :/
Removing sux.dll didn't work either. im going to check to see for more uncommon files.

Try running CCleaner maybe?
Check 'n' see if there are any programs that may be 'bothering' crossfire.
