Server Maint.
Seems like every time I have the time to play Vindictus, Nexon takes it down for maintenance. What is this? 
Server Maint.
Apparently there was an issue with their internet service provide among other things; and it's going to last for 4.5 hrs...

Yeah I read that, shouldn't take almost 5 hours for them to fix an "internet issue" lol. Who knows maybe an earthquake knocked a telephone pole down on their lines or something

I hope you're right; but what bothers me is that if they are having an update on both servers, why isn't the game offline...

1. Yesterday, when Nexon tried to update the servers for the game, they encountered a "corrupted file" from the Dev Team located over at Korea. It was apparently big, which is the reason why they reverted back to the pre-patch.
2. The game is not offline because, back to #1, the corrupted file was only East Server related. If they put, "Vindictus is currently offline", this would cause the West Coast Players to think their server is offline as well.
3. With the current hack wave, a lot of problems about Nexon's security has been surfacing. Now whether or not they are fixing this atm, this alone should be 4-5 hours considering Nexon's slow maintenance/update team.
Edit: Regarding the login, I think it would be server related but this would only affect East server. (Correct me if I am wrong)
West is apparently down too. Sorry for the false info ^^
The thing is West server is affected as well, but I can see what you're getting at...
