MSN Scene

Does anyone know how to retrieve the image used in your windows live messenger scene?

i have one and i want the picture back but ive literally looked everywhere, email, every hard drive, etc and i cant find it and the only place it is is my msn scene

Uh maybe scroll over it and right click and save as image?

Or message yourself and when the box of messages pops up right click your name?

I don't use MSN so i don't know too much about it, i use another one and that's what you gotta do there

Well what picture is the one you want? The avatar or the background of it?

the background, its called the scene

No help from me D: I tried googling for the image as well.

its not that exact image, its on my other comp

Vista/7: %appdata%\..\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\ [email] \ObjectStore\Scenes
XP: %appdata%\Microsoft\Messenger\ [email] \ObjectStore\Scenes

They should have png previews so you can find out which is which. Just copy to your new system and viola.

You don't have to resize it, just copy the files with the same name as the picture (and the picture itself) into the same folder on your new PC. Should be identical as before, same goes for smileys

The default ones are in my install directory
