Finally caught up to the recent chapter (353)
My god.
I watched the anime a couple years back and decided to continue on from where it left off in the manga.
Best read I've had in a LONG ass time.
If any of you haven't read it yet, I suggest you do so. Now.

The manga is ridiculously better than the anime cus the anime(just like berzerk) cut off at the lowest point in the series and ended with that.
Here are things that struck me as impressive:
Dinosaurs vs. Telepaths.
The score mode.
A giant tit monster vs. a sex freak.
Unstoppable monster vs. ping pong champion.
A romance that didn't involve bullshit.
A clone with the same memories.
People dying, people being brought back, and blood everywhere.
Some if not the most interesting monsters out there.
Me actually liking the main character the most.
A strong cast of characters, who have some actual emotions.
A plot on doomsday.
Interesting tech.

Kurono started being all hero mode against the giants, which is also a good part, as he isn't constantly contemplating with himself over killing them.
I really hope the manga extends into the explanation of where all this technology is coming from.

:/ my personal favorite was the osaka arc. In all fairness the enemy there was just over-the-fucking-top. I mean 4 different stages, new tech being introduced every other stage, when i read that i was totally amazed at that.

I love kurono though. Compared to everyone else he's just so badass. He has his stronger, eco-friendly guy as his friend. Which is hilarious because kurono is like "dude just kill them" and his bud is trying so hard(eventually costing the group time and again) to not kill the baddies. Whats always struck me as odd though is how the series just totally forgot about the vampire guy. Like where is he in all this apocalypse arc?

The whole "alien apocalypse" thing is really bumming me out. At first i was like AWESOME FINALLY OMG GIANT ALIEN SHIT AND NEW GANTZ TECH!!!
But the last ten chapters have been TAAII CHAAAAAAN!!!!(*crying*) TAAAIIII CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!! With random nobodies getting slaughtered.
Like yeah, i like the kurono + tai combo more than him with the idol, but come the fuck on. 10 chapters and he finally gets there, and he gets teleported AGAIN. Like cmon gantz, gimme a break here. Thats just a low blow.

I like gantz b4 the apocalypse, the start of the apocalypse, and i'll wait to judge the rest of it so far. Cus week by week its getting just so plain. Its nothing like the demons/aliens before, which is what i liked. Having gantz troops vs. relatively similar is quite boring actually.
