[help] with terraria mod

I am new to programing ect.. I would like to add a few commands to my game like "instant mine" and "flashlight" "free craft" and or "item" nothing big.. or at least i don't think it is.. i have Microsoft 2010 c# express and have Terrarria.exe decompressed with Reflector and opened it up in c#. I don't know how to or where to put these commands. If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah i have looked it over but isn't that information outdated by now? He was talking about 1.05 and 6 and we are on 1.1.2 now.
