My parents can't afford it but the BC Govt. thinks they can so government student loans are out of the question. I have no credit so loans from the bank(w\o a co-signer) are out of the question(and no, my parents will not cosign). So I was going through some scholarships and I was so fucking incredibly pissed right the fuck off when I saw a 24k Aboriginal entrance scholarship with the only requirement being that you are aboriginal. ONTOP of that, there is another one with a 30K scholarship for aboriginal students currently attending a secondary school.
Meanwhile, for a white guy with an 86% average there isn't shit out there. This sucks dah ballz. Every scholarship I come across I have to be of some 'minority' ethnic group. Fucking ridiculous.
Okay, I admit, there are a couple 500, and 1k scholarships only two of three I could get - but how far does that get you when your school costs accumulate over 17k per year in a four year program? Not far at all.
Looks like Jetamay is going to work a Mc Donalds for the next 6 years of his life.
Or you could suck dick on a street corner.
Shit. sucks bro. I hate this world. This world is fucked up. America is a pile of dung now, everything in the world is about money, wheres the happiness?
well you don't have to work at mcdonalds.. if you specialize in something, find the perfect job that fits you, for now!
lawl inb4 poor and ya bro im poor too but you would think with all the shit you have learn you would try to make somemoney on the net selling programs and shit like wtf ?
Oh, sweet, sweet America. The land of dreams- no higher standard of living.

Easy to say, hard to do.
Look, I don't mind working for my post-secondary education, but if I knew it would take a couple years before I could actually start my education, I wouldn't have taken all these High-Level courses (Chem, Phys, Calc) because after two years or so you get virtually no credit for the when applying for a post-secondary school. I have to retake all of these fucking courses. Its such bullshit. I midaswell just drop out now and get a job.
@Jetamay
Have you ever heard of FIRST?
They have two competitions, FRC and FTC for High Schoolers. Having FIRST on your application greatly increases your chances of being accepted into a colleges and one out of four students on a team get the scholarships they apply for.
I do believe that there are teams in BC, but I'm not sure. (Check @ What Events And Teams Are In My Area? | USFIRST.org)
Scholarships: 2012 FIRST Scholarship Opportunities | USFIRST.org
Edit: There's a team in Victoria, and one in Chetwynd.
