Hide Process In Task Manager
Hide Process in Taskmanager Code ? VB.NET Please

My English Bad
A. Why? Just Curious....

B. If you set showintaskbar = false then it won't show up in your "Window's Title" / "Applications" Tab , but will still show up under processes.

C. If you want the application to be listed, but can't be "killed" / "terminated" You can Set a ACL.
(there are ways around this as well)

D. Make the application a Windows Service. This would keep it from processes, but place it in services.

Onto the outcome, the ultimate answer (in this scenario) is no, it can't be done, Not the way I think you want it done, You can however do this in VB6 with OS Version < XP
NextGen has provided a good answer but it can be hidden from the task manager by getting the listview handle of the processes tab and setting the visible property to false. Eitherway, if your application is legit, you won't need to do this.

For windows XP yes, But won't work for Win Vista or Win 7 as it has since been listed as a "Protected Process".

It was working for me in windows 7. I ran a program that was a part of a tutorial on Code Project.
Thanked & Good to know. If you get a chance can you send me the article via MSN? I am more then interested in it's read. I have never (or ever) will have much use for it, but when Vista was released there was an entire MSDN article in regards to the Can's & Can'ts of Protected Processes, I would assume however (which is what I want to test) the method used in this article would leave your application being spotted as Malware / Virus making it pointless anyway?
Code:
Private Sub Form_Load()
     Me.Visible = False
End Sub
This is for task manager
Code:
Private Sub Form_Load()
     Me.Visible = False
     App.TaskVisible = False
End Sub

Life is not that easy. This is the example of a "Poor Googler" , No Offense.
.TaskVisible was VB6 & < Not VB.net.

-.-" than u help him , anyway why does he need crap like that?
Well, It's in my opinion that both myself & Hassan offered the only real solutions (as it stands), I was just pointing out that your code sample is from Older OSs & Older VB languages, so the OP didn't expect to attempt it, not expect it to work. If he was Deving in VB6 on Win98, that would have worked fine, but that isn't the case here. No need to get defensive, I mean no offense, Just, if your not 100% sure, then you should open the IDE, put in some code & test it (as a suggestion).
pretty sure you can hide it with serious API calls..
Re:Process Hider
Ive been in the vb world for so many years now... So I was just like you once. ANYWAYS...

Heres a little code from a group that has shut down a long time ago so I don't think you'll find this anywhere on the web anymore. I have kept it for all these years and it works very well.

Can't get any simpler than this.

How to use:
-To hide the process from the list: TMListViewDelete.Running = True
-To make the process show after it was hidden: TMListViewDelete.Running = false

1st post btw =)
