    Kids Today

Tell me what you think the difference between teens of today vs teens in the 80s/90s?

Do they not appreciate things like we did back in the day or what?

From cell phones to computers to having there parents buy them everything and anything they want.

Also what is up with the music?

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Im not sure where this is going but as technology grows, the demand for more grows as well. The kids of the 80's had less so they wanted less. Thats probably why alot kids these days dont appreciate the little things in life.

still to this day, my parents ask me what i want for my birthday or christmas and i awlways give them the same answer....."nothing"

they still get me shit anyway, i just tell them it's the thought that counts.

but... i'm one of six, and money was a bit tight for the fam

My apologies if this ends up a double post.

No I am not insulting teens today. I just notice the huge difference in the behavior of teens today vs in the past.

Gay teens are also more, "out of the closet". My dad told me in the 70's if you said you were gay theyd beat the fuck out of you. The music has completely failed since the 80's. The 80's had some of the best music.

It's true though 2000-2010 generation appreciates nothing in life but mindless video games and other things such as TV and electronics.

I know I'm a part of this generation but I appreciate the little things and don't just sit on my ass all day playing video games.

so did movies in the 80's.

most things you see these days are obvious, that it gets to the point where you remember the snacks you bought/brought rather then the plot/climax itself.

lol Have you heard Seethers cover of Careless whisper by Wham?

I wonder if anyone knows the meaning of this song? I do.

The 80s music was bad ass though.

Amen to that plokmii. The disrespect level for teens these days are ridiculous. No respect for elders at all its ridiculous. Im just stating what I have observed. Im apart of this generation as well but Ive had good home training so I dont act like alot of the fuckers these days.
