Do blackouts work?

Well I heard about the Kony black out in support of getting rid of Kony.

But just now I saw this:

A black out for MW3.
What do you think?

Will it affect activision in a big way? Will gamers get their demands?

They're begging for features that would cost thousands of dollars to implement, for no profit at all. The MW3 black out is stupid.

they earn million's of dollars from that game alone i think they wont go broke if they fix the game. not saying that the blackout is smart because that's just a retarded way of protesting
