Yes it's spelled exercising. If you want to become "shredded" you'll need to build muscle. It'll be easier to lose weight with a higher muscle mass. I suggest getting supplements and a high protein diet, but you will need carbs as well.

Add ten pounds every two weeks to your weight you lift. After six months begin the second cycle phase of cutting.
