Theory: Reversing the Gun Adder Hack

So, I was taking a dump like 5 minutes ago when this idea came up in my head.

You can reverse the process of buying a gun by selling an item (like a pistol, which can be stacked because it's expendable) and changing the item code to the code of the item you bought using the hack.

Would this work? Redspot, please reply.

that is quite genius, however, I don't think a value for a purchased, un-sellable, item is the original value.
