❓ do you need ps3 jailbreak for hacking???

i have seen alot of websites where they say "ps3 jailbreak" what it is for? do you need it for hacking games? please someone help me

Yes you need to jailbreak to run the best possible hacks for PS3 games, you can use a save modification program called Xploder but it will only edit your saves for single player and sometimes online.

Jail breaking is risky these days with Sony up your ass about the firmware your running. I remember the days of Geohot

As far as I know, the only firmware you can run a CFW on is 3.55. You'll have to find a spoof for the current firmware that's out. What the spoof does is that it allows you to sign in on PSN while being on 3.55 firmware which isn't possible, so it fools them to think that you are on the latest firmware.

If you already have updated your firmware from 3.55+, then the only possible way would be to downgrade.

After jailbreaking a PS3, you can feel free to convert back to the latest OFW whenever you feel like. You can keep a backup HDD as well just to be on the safe side, but jailbreaking won't destroy your PS3 unless you brick your PS3 while downgrading carelessly.
